On the Roof !

        One day while we were living on O'Brien St. in North Bay, Ontario,  Heather Ann was playing in  the back yard as Chris and I were looking around in the garage. When we came out there was no  sign of Heather Ann! Quickly we checked all around the house and then we hear "Hi , Mommy" and its coming from above and as we look up, there is Heather Ann on the roof of the two story house, up about 23 feet or so, walking around peering over the edge! She had climbed up the TV tower that was at the back of the house and fastened to the eaves of the house.

        There was a bit of panic setting in as I got close to the wall, to try and catch her if she fell. I could not see her from that point and had to have Chris tell me which way to go as Heather Ann was wandering back and forth on the roof. There were no other people around at the moment so we did not dare to even dash into the house to telephone for help.

        Finally we got her talked into walking to the tower and standing there until I scurried up and got her placed in front of me facing the tower and we both came down a step at a time with her between my arms and my body.

        That afternoon I went to the hardware store and bought some galvanized tin that I fastened to the bottom of the tower so no one would be able to climb up that tower again.

 I really don't know how we managed to live through all of Heather Ann's antics. She wasn't even 4 years old when this episode happened!
